The green arrow flashes on the turnstile, your heart rate rapidly increases, and you're in. Immediately the smells of cookies and hot dogs, the sounds of chatter, laughter and well-known tunes, and an overwhelming feeling of joy that brings an unstoppable smile possesses you. The impulse to rush to the favourite ride is overwhelming. Walt Disney World will always be a place of magic for any age. Without Disney, Childhood dreams are lost and for those over 10 years old, it's a reminder of happier days, a location to let inhibitions loose and to just embrace, enjoy, love and indulge.

i like how you described how someone would feel when they're in disney world. I felt like i was there.
ReplyDeleteI love Disney World so much. I would die if it ever went away.
ReplyDeleteI agree that your concept of putting us in the experience is good but I'm sure there are more descriptive words you could use to achieve this as is: "pleasure surges though your body and flows up to your face to push your lips into a smile." Or somethign like that.
ReplyDeleteDJS, thank you for your critique, however, I don't think your word choices are necessarily a description that should be applied to a Disney parl.
ReplyDelete*park
ReplyDeleteI think that you gave great descriptions in this essay and I hope that it wouldn't ever be gone.
ReplyDeleteEven though it seems obvious now, I didn't even think of a Disney Park as my place that matters! That place really is just so great though.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful pictures! You post really stands out with visuals, but you could have cited your sources much better i.e., MLA format.
ReplyDeleteThis has been my favorite blog to read by far. I've never been to Walt Disney World, only Disneyland back home in California, but reading this really put me in the park with all of the smells and sights. Great writing!
ReplyDeleteThis blog put me right back into Walt Disney World; the smells and sites all around and just the overwhelming feeling of entertainment and happiness. This blog reminded me of my childhood, and why I could watch any Disney movie a million times and not be bored with it.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have been to Disney World only once, I remembered everything you described with your great use of imagery. I believe this is the best part of your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou could improve upon this by placing a little bit of history of Walt Disney World, such as when was it built or opened? Overall, Great job!
I have never been to Disney World but it seems nice from your blog post
